Pixel Interpolation
Concept

Pixel Interpolation is a proposal for a media installation. The installation is focused on the human need of order in perceiving information. Through an algorithm well-known paintings get degenerated and put together in a
new order. Each pixel is depicted from the digital source image, displayed on a framed screen and placed on a random position. The counterparts display the relation of order and visual perception to perceive information.
To create the random pattern each pixel is depicted from the source image and placed at a random position. Therefore the pattern bilds up step by step deterorating the original painting.
